Eligibility
-
There will
be an oral as well as written test that the applicants
will have to take, which will test their multiple
intelligences and aptitude. Those who don’t clear this
test will not be taken, unless there are important
social concerns that the Educational Adoption Scheme
committee thinks should be addressed.

Along with
this, the applicants should also get attestation from
the evaluators who are entrusted by the committee to
understand the family and its financial and academic
background.

The
Educational Adoption Scheme committee, anyhow has the
right to veto all these factors if it finds valid reason
to do so. The decisions of the committee in matters of
admission, dismissal and all matters concerning the
students will be final and binding to all.

Along with
fulfilling the eligibility criterion, the attitude and
co-operation of the parents is also quite important for
selection.

Procedure
-
The
Educational Adoption Scheme committee will publicise the
programme through media, by sending notices to the local
governing bodies and also by spreading the word around.
Parents or well wishers will be asked to apply details
such as age, financial condition (with both parents
occupation), caste and religion and location.

The
committee shall review and shortlist some candidates
(This will also need to take into account the total
number of children who can be taken under this scheme).

A test
will be conducted to assess emotional/intellectual and
historical capital and skills of the children.

Those who
do well in the exam will be visited by the team that the
committee entrusts with.

Once the
team okays the candidate, the committee will approve of
the candidate for the scheme

Then
his/her parents will be summoned and will be asked to
sign papers to theeffect that the institution or the
scheme director is in no way responsible for the later
academic laxity of the child and that the scheme
director holds the authority to dismiss the student at
any point. They will have to sign a TC application even
before the join the scheme.

Once they
are admitted to the scheme, they will also be admitted
in the school automatically.
