Financial Offer Letter
Will I be Called the Guardian of a Particular Child, if I
pay for the Expenses of a Child’s Education?
The answer is an emphatic No. Just to avoid
reader’s mistaking this for an appeal to adopt kids, who are
either orphans or really poor, may we specify: we are a
small organization which is not self sufficient to take up
the financial requirements completely on our shoulders. We
need to pay the teachers and other workers alongside
building up the infra structural facilities. For any of
this, we do not have any support from the Government or
other agencies. We work with the fee collected from our
financially stable students and occasional donations given
by our generous well wishers. Thus financial support is
quite important to our humble effort and we will always be
grateful for your willingness to support. Your name surely
will appear in our leaflets, magazines and elsewhere. But we
WILL NOT name you as the guardian of a particular kind. The
reason being, if a student has a particular guardian who
gets him sweets and takes him out solely on the basis of
paying money, one student gets differentiated in the name of
guardianship. In addition, a sense of obligation creeps in
to the kid’s mind and that leaves it apologetic and
dependant for the rest of its life. We want a generation of
people, who have a sense of belongingness and a feeling that
what they get is their right and not generosity of a
particular person. As it is against the fundamental spirit
of the project, we are unable to do it. |
